The desert doesn't perform. It doesn't try to be dramatic — it simply is. And then the light arrives at that particular angle in the late afternoon and the dunes go from sand to fire and you understand why people travel thousands of miles to stand in front of something that will look completely different in an hour. The desert teaches patience. Then it rewards it.
